My name is Tammy Moore and I am a certified Massage Therapist. Born and raised in Portland, Oregon my husband and I moved to San Diego in search of fun, sun and a place to raise our family.I’m a former professional athlete; current weekend warrior. A love of sports is what pushed me to get my Bachelor’s in Health Promotion and Education at Oregon State University. After that I had planned to continue onto becoming a Physical Therapist. However, the universe had different plans for me. After living all over the country while my husband was in the military, we settled in San Diego to start our civilian lives. Two children and several years later I am finally in a place where I can continue on my chosen career path.

Over the years I have watched athletes suffer through serious injuries and a variety of surgeries only to find themselves unable to get back what they had before their procedure. More importantly, hindsight has shown that many of these injuries could have been prevented if they had been addressed early on. In an effort to learn more about the body and how to help with soft tissues injuries, I decided to take classes at the International Professional School of bodywork to learn massage.

There I learned several massage techniques, from Swedish to Structural Integration, TuiNa to Sports Massage. I blend many of these techniques and others I’ve learned to try and give my clients an experience unlike any other. I also bring in the skills I have learned as an athlete to help understand the nature of injury prevention and creative techniques for stretches and exercises to get the client back to their activities as soon as possible.

I make each massage unique to the client’s wants and needs. I am just one of many tools at your disposal to help you along with your overall wellness and self-care.

I look forward to working with you!
